Cav Paintings
Cleveland forward LeBron James was all muscles and tats as he prepared to shoot a free throw during a home game against the Celtics on Jan. 9. James had 38 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals in the Cavaliers' 98--83 win.

Oval Achiever
Shani Davis won the 1,000-meter race on Sunday and took the overall title at the World Sprint Speed Skating Championships in Moscow. Davis, the Olympic champion in the 1,000, also set a course record at the distance (1:08.66).

Headbangers
Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley went helmet-to-helmet-to-helmet with Baltimore's Todd Heap (86) and Willis McGahee while tackling McGahee during the AFC Championship Game, which Pittsburgh won 23--14 (page 33). That cut on Woodley's arm? What cut?
