Stenson didn't strip down to his underwear to attract attention. His onlymotives were to stay clean and avoid penalty strokes. Lucky for him it lookedas if he had definitely practiced the water ball, because his form wasimpeccable—a steep swing, great balance and a full release. He splashed out 45yards to the fairway's edge, hit a long approach to the green and two-puttedfor a bogey.
How to Cash In With a Splash
Play the shotlike a bunker explosion, using a steep angle of attack, hitting the water firstand taking as full a swing as possible. The deeper the ball is submerged(right), the steeper the swing should be. Don't swing too hard because correcttechnique, not force, propels the ball out.
