Adams, a sophomore at Angelo State, was named the NCAA Division II women's field athlete of the year, then won the heptathlon title with a personal-best 5,586 points in the D-II outdoor championships. She was also second in the 400 hurdles (58.77) and the long jump (20'½"), and helped the 4√ó400 relay team to a runner-up finish (3:41.38).

Nedovyesov, a junior at Oklahoma State, finished 2008--09 as the No. 1 singles player in NCAA Division I and the ITA's college player of the year. The two-time Big 12 player of the year went 20--4 in the spring and had a 35--7 singles record overall. He joined with Nathan Byrnes to form the No. 14--ranked D-I doubles team.

DIKE, IOWA > Track and Field
Hannah, a junior at Dike--New Hartford High, won the 200, the 400 and the high jump at the state Class 2A meet, setting all-class meet records in the 400 (54.68) and high jump (5'11") and a 2A meet record in the 200 (24.49). She anchored the sprint-medley relay team, which also set a 2A record (1:47.19).

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. > Lacrosse
Cerar, a senior attackman at C.W. Post, received the Lt. Raymond J. Enners Award as the top player in NCAA Division II. He finished the season second in D-II in points per game (5.38) and sixth in goals (3.00) and assists (2.38). Cerar scored four goals and was named most outstanding player in the Pioneers' national championship win.
LUMBERTON, N.J. > Softball
Sweeney, a senior at Lehigh, became the first four-time Patriot League pitcher of the year. She is also the only woman to be named conference player and pitcher of the year in the same season (2008). Sweeney holds Patriot League records for career wins (94) and strikeouts (928), and has hit the most home runs (23) in Lehigh history.
WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. > Baseball
Wright, a junior pitcher at Lynn, led NCAA Division II in wins (15) and was third in strikeouts (119), setting school season records in both departments. An All-America selection, he was 8--2 against teams ranked in the D-II top 30. Wright was also the winning pitcher for the Fighting Knights in the national championship game.
