Things I Think I Think

SI's fearless NFL expert opines on all the latest news, buzz and inside information. This is just a taste of what you'll get online.

1 I think no player in the NFL has a bigger week ahead of him than Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell (below), who looked shaky, inaccurate and as if he had a 20-pound bar on his shoulders last Saturday night in the rain at FedEx Field. The Patriots come calling Friday night. They're not an easy team to get well against.

2 I think the best team of the first two weeks has been Green Bay. With three touchdowns and 200 yards passing so far, QB Aaron Rodgers is playing as if these games actually matter. The defensive line keeps shuttling good, unsung players such as DT Johnny Jolly in and out—and the Packers keep making plays.

3 I think the Panthers left me guessing after watching three quarters of their game against Miami. Veteran DE Julius Peppers didn't get a sniff all night, and though much of that came against a terrific young tackle, Jake Long, it's the classic example of why no one beat the door down to get Pepps when he was on the market in the off-season.
