I've been coaching my son's baseball teams for six years, and I've found a site run by Cal Ripken Jr. and his brother Billy very helpful. It's ripkencoaching.org, and it has a lot of great tips and ideas on how to run a practice. When you're dealing with a team of 15 or 16 kids, keeping them all busy at the same time can be tough. Young guys don't like to sit around and listen a whole lot. But there's one trick I have that always works. Sometimes one of the kids will say, "Tobin, do the voice. Just do it once." So I'll drop into Jigsaw's voice and say, "Run this play or die." And they all break up.
