LEADING OFF

Flight Home

Clemson's Mike Freeman was coming in for a landing just ahead of the throw to North Carolina State catcher Pratt Maynard in the second game of a doubleheader last Saturday. The Tigers, ranked 11th by Baseball America, won both games to improve their record to 13--1.

Air Males

Skicross racers followed the same flight pattern during a semifinal run in a World Cup race last Friday in Grindelwald, Switzerland. In the final Norway's Audun Groenvold, the bronze medalist in Vancouver, edged Olympic champion Michael Schmid of Switzerland to win this rematch.

Ig Creamed

In a battle between the playoff-bound Cavaliers and the lottery-bound 76ers last Friday in Philadelphia, Cleveland guards Delonte West and Mo Williams (diving) doubled down on Sixers forward Andre Iguodala in a scrap for a loose ball. Iguodala led all scorers with 30 points, but the Cavs won 100--95.
