1 I think the one thing the Browns won't do with their seventh pick is take Notre Dame's Jimmy Clausen. They could tap into the strength of that area of the draft and pick a tackle, or choose safety Eric Berry of Tennessee or CB Joe Haden of Florida. However, I don't think the Browns see Clausen (below) as a no-doubt franchise guy.
2 I think Mike Shanahan is serious when he says he might take a quarterback very high. I don't see how he could get the quarterback he wants, Sam Bradford. He'd have to denude this draft and next year's to do so. But he's also been sniffing around Tim Tebow a lot. Private workout in Gainesville, long visit in Virginia. For a team that just landed Donovan McNabb, the Skins are spending a lot of time scouting quarterbacks.
3 I think if the Steelers hadn't traded troubled wide receiver Santonio Holmes to the Jets, there's a good chance they would have cut him.
