1 I think no one's sure if Rolando McClain(below), selected by Oakland as the eighth overall pick in last week's draft, is a three-down linebacker (several teams don't think he's fluid enough to cover backs and tight ends), but everyone knows he's a great leader and sideline-to-sideline playmaker. Plus, for the Raiders to get a fabulous athlete like Bruce Campbell at 106—that's the right place to take a boom-or-bust pick. Good weekend for Oakland.

2 I think I love what Bill Belichick did at tight end over the last five weeks: signing free agent Alge Crumpler (maybe a one-year bit of glue), then drafting Rob Gronkowski at 42 and Aaron Hernandez at 113. Hernandez was thievery. I think he looks like a bona fide NFL tight end right now.
3 I think the Chargers paid too much (two picks in the top 40) for Ryan Matthews, a productive but not explosive running back as the 12th pick. We'll see.
