Wedge Issue

It's the last year for amateur golfers to buy wedges with square grooves, so has there been a sales spike? A recent five-month span compared with the same period a year earlier reveals an approximate 6,000-unit-a-month jump in November and 3,000 in December before dropping to nearly flat in January and February. March bumped back into the 3,000 range. Could the early spike have come because golfers thought the cutoff was Jan. 1, 2010? If so, look for another buying spurt at the end of this year.
