BELLEVILLE, MICH. > Boxing

Joseph, a junior at Belleville High, was named the outstanding fighter among the five heaviest weight classes at the USA Boxing junior nationals. He won three bouts, including a 21--3 decision in the 154-pound final. Joseph was the 152-pound titlist in the 15--16 open division at the 2009 Ringside World Championships.

Hailey Luke

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FLA. > Volleyball

Hailey, a sophomore at Lake Brantley High, averaged 5.2 kills and 17.3 assists to lead the Orlando Volleyball Academy 15 Asics team to a 12--0 record and the 15-and-under open division title at the AAU junior national championships. Hailey was MVP of the division for a second time after helping the team win the 14-and-under open title in 2009.

Tim Johnson

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, ARK. > Football

Tim, who will be a freshman at Langston University, scored four touchdowns, two on kickoff returns of 100 and 95 yards, to earn MVP honors at the Arkansas high school coaches' all-star game. At North Little Rock High in 2009 he had 27 TDs and 3,000 total yards.

Makayla Haw

RIO LINDA, CALIF. > Waterskiing

Makayla, a junior at St. Francis High, won the girls' overall title at the Junior U.S. Open water ski championships after finishing first in the slalom, fourth in tricks and second in jumping. She also took the overall girls' title in 2009 at the U.S. water ski nationals. In March she won the women's slalom at the Junior Moomba Masters in Melbourne.

Jonah Herscu

AMHERST, MASS. > Ultimate Frisbee

Jonah, a recent graduate of Amherst Regional High, had five assists and two defended passes to help the school's club team to a 13--1 win over Needham (Mass.) in the final of the USA Ultimate High School Eastern Championships. In August, Jonah will compete for the U.S. national team at the World Junior Ultimate Championships in Germany.

Lyberty Anderson

RICHMOND > Golf

Lyberty, a freshman at Manchester High, successfully defended her title at the Richmond Women's Golf Association Match Play Championship, winning three 18-hole matches leading up to the final, in which she beat Joanne Kitusky, 49, 2 up over 18 holes. In 2009, as a 13-year-old, Lyberty became the youngest titlist in the competition's 83-year history.
