Smith, a senior running back at Union (Ky.) College, of the NAIA, set the school's single-game rushing, touchdowns and points records with 312 yards and five TDs for 30 points in an 84--55 win over Bethel. He leads the Bulldogs with 715 rushing yards. Last year Smith won national track championships in the 110-meter hurdles and the 4 √ó 100 relay.
HARLEYSVILLE, PA. > Field Hockey
Mastropaolo, a senior at Drexel, broke the school's single-game and career records for goals (5, 53) and points (10, 125) in scoring all her team's goals in the Dragons' 5--2 win over Hofstra. Last year Mastropaolo was named the 2009 CAA Player of the Year and set Drexel single-season records for goals (29), game-winning goals (10) and points (69).

GREENWOOD, IND. > Football
Nick, a senior cornerback at Center Grove High, scored on a 96-yard kickoff return and a 25-yard fumble recovery to lead the Trojans to a 34--24 win against Lawrence North. He also had an interception and two solo tackles. Last year Nick led the league in picks (seven); he also took second in the 100 meters at the state track championships (10.82 seconds).

CHULUOTA, FLA. > Waterskiing
Harrison, a 58-year-old retired aerospace engineer, swept gold medals in the women's 55-and-over slalom, tricks and jumping (91 feet) to win the overall title at the 2010 World 35+ Water Ski Championships in Segrate, Italy. Her performance helped the U.S. to an overall team gold medal. At the nationals, in August, Harrison took the overall title in the 53-to-59-year-old division.
BELLEVILLE, ILL. > Martial Arts
Richard, a senior at Althoff High, won two gold medals, two silver and one bronze at the World Martial Arts Games in Las Vegas, where he competed as a junior black belt for the USA Martial Arts team. Last year Richard traveled with the team to Australia and won three gold medals and a silver in the junior advanced under-black-belt division.
BLACKWOOD, N.J. > Cross-country
Megan, a senior at Highland Regional High, won the 5K New Jersey Shore Coaches Invitational in Holmdel with a time of 17:50. Two weeks earlier she set a course record (17:39.4) at the Briarwood Invitational at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, becoming the first female to finish in under 18 minutes. Megan was the 2010 state indoor and outdoor 3,200-meter champion.
