Andrew, a junior at North Eugene High, threw back-to-back no-hitters in his first two league starts, striking out 13 and walking two against Thurston, then fanning 15 and walking two against South Eugene. He had a 0.76 ERA with 71 strikeouts in 46 innings through Sunday. In 2010 Andrew led the Highlanders to the 5A state title and was named 5A pitcher of the year.

LAKEWOOD, CALIF. > Softball
Amber, a senior catcher at Mater Dei High, hit a grand slam to lift the Monarchs over Beckman and break her own school record for home runs in a season (9). A week later she broke the RBI record (44) in a win over Riverside Christian. Amber played on the USA Softball Junior National team, which won gold at the Pan-Am Games last August.
UPPER DARBY, Pa. > Marathon
Weygandt, 64, completed his 45th straight Boston Marathon (5:52:14) to continue his streak of running the most consecutive marathons in one city. His first Boston finish came in 1967, before the other modern major marathons—Berlin, Chicago, London and New York City—existed. His PR (2:36:51 in '83) came during a 23-year string of sub-three-hour races.
MENDHAM, N.J. > Lacrosse
Dykstra, a senior midfielder at Lehigh, scored four goals in a loss to Virginia Tech to break the Patriot League career record (243) and move into 10th place all time in the NCAA. She was league rookie of the year as a freshman, offensive player of the year as a sophomore and defensive player of the year as a junior. At week's end Dykstra was No. 1 in D-I scoring with 68 goals.
BERKELEY LAKE, GA. > Track and Field
O'Neal, a senior at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School, won the 400 (47.78) and 800 meters (1:54.77) to be named MVP at the Taco Bell Classic in Columbia, S.C. An All-America and two-time defending Class-A state champion in the 400, O'Neal founded Spikes 4 Tykes, a program that donates used track spikes to children in his parents' native Jamaica.
HAMMOND, LA. > Track and Field
Tate, a junior at LSU, won her fourth straight 400-meter hurdles title, at the home-hosted Alumni Gold meet, with a time of 56.31, the second fastest in the country this season. A three-time All-America in the 4 √ó 400-meter relay (once outdoors and twice indoors), Tate is the reigning SEC outdoor 400-meter hurdles champion.
