LONG BEACH, CALIF. > Track and Field

Myles, a senior at Long Beach Polytechnic, anchored the Jackrabbits' 4 √ó 800-meter team to victory and was named high school boys' athlete of the meet for relay events at the 117th Penn Relays in Philadelphia. He ran a school-record leg of 1:49.54 for a team finish of 7:31.69, the third-fastest time in meet history and the best nationally this season. Next year he will compete for USC.

Danielle Etrasco

MASSAPEQUA, N.Y. > Lacrosse

Etrasco, a sophomore at Boston University, single-handedly outscored Vermont with nine goals in a 16--8 win to set a program record for goals in a game and tie the America East mark. The win qualified the Terriers for their 13th straight conference tournament. Last year Etrasco was named to the America East all-rookie team. She leads the conference in goals (57).

J.T. Poston

HICKORY, N.C. > Golf

J.T., a senior at Hickory High, won his second straight 3A state title at Foxfire Country Club in Foxfire Village, N.C., by nine strokes while setting two state records. He shot a 63 for the single-day individual-score mark, followed by a 68 for a total of 131, the record for lowest individual total. Ranked 16th among junior boys in the state, he will play for Western Carolina next year.

Megan Smith

OLATHE, KANS. > Track and Field

Megan, a senior at Olathe South High, won gold in the shot put (46'5½") and silver in the discus (139'6") at the 84th annual Kansas Relays in Lawrence, Kans. Two weeks later she put the shot 48'9½" for the third-best throw in the nation this season. Next year Megan, the defending 6A state shot put champion, will compete for Texas Christian University.

Conlin McCabe

BROCKVILLE, ONT. > Rowing

McCabe, a junior who rows the four seat in Washington's top-ranked varsity eight boat, helped the Huskies win their fifth straight Windermere Cup (5:43.2). In February he swept the world indoor rowing championships (collegiate, U-23 and open) in Boston. Last fall he competed with the Canadian senior national team at the 2010 world championships in New Zealand.

Cody McMillion and Ariana Mato

HOPKINS, S.C., AND DAVIE, FLA. > Equestrian

Competing in the varsity open division, Cody, a senior at the Hammond School, won the Western title and Ariana, a home-schooled sophomore, won the Hunt Seat title at the Interscholastic Equestrian Association nationals in Maryland.
