SETH DAVIS'S: THREE-POINTER

Louisville can withstand the loss of freshman forward Wayne Blackshear, who suffered a season-ending shoulder injury last week. The Cardinals had more injuries and fewer players last year and still finished tied for third in the Big East. Freshman forward Chane Behanan will bear more of the load.... The reforms passed by the NCAA last week represent the most significant change in more than a decade. Giving athletes money to cover the cost of attendance was long overdue, and the NCAA restored some sanity to recruiting by lifting the text-message ban and allowing coaches to contact recruits earlier.... I'm glad the rules committee added a visible arc to help officials penalize players for attempting to draw charges under the basket, but the next step is to add the trapezoidal lane that's been used internationally. That's the best way to clean up overly physical play down low.
