No Off-Season

Has any QB ever before faced such coverage?

Backstage Pass

This is an article from the June 4, 2012 issue

Tebow attends Broadway musical Rock of Ages, poses with actresses dressed as strippers, one of whom, Neka Zang, posts photo to Twitter. Tebow's reps ask her to take it down. Zang does, tweeting, "He does know we aren't real strippers, right?"

Tee No!

QB's lawyers slap cease-and-desist order on CubbyTees.com for marketing T-shirts emblazoned with MY JESUS in a design mimicking the NY JETS logo and colors, threatening to sue the company for "using the name of Mr. Tebow."

A Dogged Fan

Rapper Snoop Dogg throws ceremonial first pitch at U.S. Cellular Field before White Sox--Twins game, then Tebows on way off field. No explanation for gesture from Snoop (who also struck Usain Bolt pose).

Real Gamer

EA Sports announces that Madden 13, available in August, will feature a Tebowing celebration option.

Keeping Up with Jones?

After Olympic hurdler Lolo Jones reveals in interview that she's a virgin, teammates greet the famously chaste Tebow with chants of "Lolo! Lolo!"

A Matter of Principal

Chuck Shriner, a senior at Bishop Verot High in Fort Myers, Fla., Tebows onstage at graduation. School's principal, at urging of Shriner's mother, forces teen to clean the gymnasium to get diploma.

FIRST LOOK

Filming began last week on the Jackie Robinson biopic 42. The film, set for release next April, stars Harrison Ford as Branch Rickey and, as Robinson, Chadwick Boseman (above), who played running back Floyd Little in 2008's The Express. Director Brian Helgeland is filming at three of baseball's oldest parks, Rickwood Field (1910) in Birmingham; Luther Williams Field (1929) in Macon, Ga.; and Engel Stadium (1930) in Chattanooga, which will sub for Ebbets Field.

THEY SAID IT

"I feel like I'm about to tear up."

CHAD OCHOCINCO
