Nate, a senior wideout at Cesar Chavez Academy, set a national single-game record with 459 receiving yards on 17 passes from sophomore quarterback Omar Salih, scoring seven touchdowns in a 64--41 win over Mayville High. Nate had 1,379 yards this season for the Aztec Eagles.

Elise Cranny | Niwot, Colo. | Cross-country

Elise, a senior at Niwot High, won her second straight Class 4A title when she set a 3.2-mile course record (18:07.8) in the state championships at the Norris Penrose Events Center in Colorado Springs. She had a 16:45 PR in October. Last season Elise was named Colorado's Gatorade runner of the year.

Sammy Mireles | Elwood, Ind. | Football

Sammy, a 5'9", 170-pound senior running back at Elwood High, needed 211 rushing yards in the Panthers' final regular-season game to break the Indiana career record; he ran for 343, and Elwood beat Alexandria-Monroe High 49--42. Sammy finished his high school career with 8,110 rushing yards.

Taryn Torgerson | Buhler, Kans. | Golf

Taryn, a senior at Buhler High, sank a 40-foot putt for birdie on the 18th hole at Crestwood Country Club in Pittsburg, Kans., to win the Class 4A state title by one stroke with a six-over 78. She had finished third at states the past two years while helping the Crusaders win back-to-back team championships.

Nick McCrory | Chapel Hill, N.C. | Diving

McCrory, a senior at Duke, set pool records in winning the one-meter (445.27 points) and three-meter (468.37) events at the Blue Devils' first dual meet of the season, a win over UNC-Wilmington. The 2013 NCAA platform diving champion and ACC men's diver of the year, McCrory won Olympic bronze in '12.

Tesa McKibben | Cogan Station, Pa. | Soccer

McKibben, a senior forward at St. Francis, scored the lone goal to help the Red Flash defeat LIU-Brooklyn to win the Northeast Conference championship and secure an NCAA tournament berth. A four-time NEC player of the year, she is the Division I active leading scorer with 180 career points through Sunday.
