Jesse Reiser | McHenry, Ill. | Track and Field
Jesse, a senior at McHenry West High, ran the 3,200 meters at the Arcadia (Calif.) Invitational in 8:52.00, the top high school time this season. The state's two-time cross-country runner of the year, he was eighth at the Foot Locker nationals in December, and is the reigning Class 3A cross-country and 3,200 champ. Jesse will run for Illinois.
Vashti Cunningham | Las Vegas | Track and Field
Vashti, a junior at Bishop Gorman High, set a national high school record with a high jump of 6'4¼" at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., breaking the mark set in 2009 by ¼". It was the third-best jump in the world this season. The defending state champ in the high and long jumps, Vashti is the daughter of former NFL QB Randall Cunningham.
Joe DeMers | Martinez, Calif. | Baseball
Joe, a senior righthander at College Park High, pitched a perfect game for a 9--0 victory over Monte Vista High in the Falcons' home opener. His next two starts at home were no-hitters: a 3--0 win over Concord High and an 11--0 victory over Northgate High. Through Sunday, Joe was 8--0 with an 0.26 ERA. He will pitch for Washington.
Ashley Luke | Oak Creek, Wis. | Basketball
Luke, a 6'1" junior forward at Western Illinois, was named the Division I Academic All-America player of the year. A political science grad student who had a 4.0 GPA majoring in journalism and poli sci as an undergrad, she averaged 19.7 points and 11.4 rebounds and has 67 straight games of double-digit scoring, the second-longest active NCAA streak.
Cheng-Tsung Pan | Miaoli County, Taiwan | Golf
Pan, a senior at Washington, tied for first with an eight-under 208 in the Lamkin San Diego Classic at the San Diego Country Club for his seventh career win, a school record. The fourth-ranked college player in the U.S. and the No. 5 amateur in the world, Pan is the first golfer to be named a four-time semifinalist for the Ben Hogan Award.

Reina Furuya | Waipahu, Hawaii | Softball
Penn State infielders Miller (far left), a sophomore, and Furuya, a junior, hit fourth-inning grand slams in a 15--5 win over Wisconsin. It was the sixth time in NCAA history that teammates had achieved the feat in the same inning.
