Weight, in pounds, deadlifted by Eddie Hall at the World's Strongest Man competition on Saturday in Leeds, England, to set a new record. Hall's total was 28 pounds more than the amount lifted that day by Hafthór Björnsson, who plays Gregor (the Mountain) Clegane in HBO's Game of Thrones.
Time, in hours, it took ultramarathoner Scott Jurek to run all 2,189 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Jurek's 46-day, eight-hour journey began May 27 at Georgia's Springer Mountain and reached the summit of Maine's Mount Katahdin on Sunday.
