Sports Illustrated HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETE OF THE MONTH
This is an article from the Sept. 7, 2015 issue
Presented by THE U.S. MARINE CORPS
Since our inception 61 years ago, SPORTS ILLUSTRATED has recognized the best up-and-coming amateur athletes from around the country. For the second year we are proud to continue the SI High School Athlete of the Month award, presented by the U.S. Marine Corps, which acknowledges not only students' athletic achievements but also the exceptional character traits—perseverance, integrity, selflessness, sportsmanship—that make them leaders on the field and in their communities. At year's end we will choose the SI High School Athlete of the Year from among the monthly winners. If you know an accomplished student-athlete whose impact goes far beyond the scoreboard, tell us why he or she should be recognized in SI and on SI.com during the coming school year.
Nominations are open at SI.com/HSathlete
