Armored Core 6 best build for Arena battles
Contents
The Arena is one of the biggest and most important challenges you can conquer in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. The Arena is where you’ll go up against a total of 29 other AC units, and each has a unique build that can pose a unique challenge – that is, if you’re unprepared.
Yes, some of the Arena fights are tough, but if you build a capable AC in advance, you will absolutely walk these fights. In this guide we’re breaking down the best mech you can use to blast through Arena challenges, while being made with parts you can purchase relatively early in the campaign.
Rest assured, you can make an Arena build far more efficient than this, especially if you optimize for each opponent, but this build – with its humble loadout – took down the final three Arena fights (ignoring NG+) without breaking a sweat. Keep that in mind as you build the mech in our description below.
Best Arena build – AC6
The key to winning Arena battles is this: overwhelming firepower. Nothing else matters too much, you just need to wipe out your foes’ health before they take out your own, and you don’t have heals. Another point to consider is that there are no ranks for Arena battles, and there’s no penalty for ammo used or repairs required. That means you can go in with your most ridiculous builds without fear.
With all of that in mind, we’ve kept this build pretty humble, and primarily focused it on weapons and attachments that are available fairly early in the game, or have comparable parts available.
- Right Arm: DF-GA-08 HU-BEN
- Left Arm: DF-GA-08 HU-BEN
- Right Back: BML-G1/P20MLT-04
- Left Back: Vvc-70VPM
- Head: HD-012 MELANDER C3
- Core: DF-BD-08 TIAN-QIANG
- Arms: NACHTREIHER/46E
- Legs: VP-424
- Booster: BST-G2/P04
- FCS: FCS-G2/P05
- Generator: DF-GN-08 SAN-TAI
- Expansion: Terminal Armor
The main component here are the dual gatling guns on both arms – these are heavy guns, and the legs do a lot to help burden all of that weight. The left gun could be traded for a melee weapon, but the dual gatling route assures the most firepower. You can make your own choice of Expansion, but Terminal Armor tends to work best as it can give you a crucial few seconds to come out on top when you don’t have any heals.
All of these pieces – aside from the two primary weapons – have excellent alternate parts you can equip your AC with. Don’t fear making this mech too heavy, as having more AP to tank damage will work in your favor.
