Kartana returns to Pokémon Go on April 4, 2024, as a boss in 5-Star Raids and can appear as a Shiny for the first time on this occasion – as usual, though, it’s only going to be available in raids happening in the Northern Hemisphere, since it’s a regional Pokémon.

If you want to get a shot at catching Shiny Kartana from outside the Northern Hemisphere, you’ll need to land yourself a remote raid invitation from someone in an eligible region. Note that moves aren’t as effective when participating in a raid remotely, so be sure to prepare extra carefully.

Kartana is a Grass- and Steel-type Pokémon, which obviously makes Fire-type moves its bane – these provide a 2.56x damage modifier. Your second-best option will be Fighting-type attacks for their solid 1.6x damage modifier.
