Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: All Shrine locations
If you want to become truly powerful in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, then you need to seek all of the Shrines. There are loads of Shrines hidden around the overworld and Hyrule’s new sky islands, and you’ll be playing for potentially more than 100 hours trying to find and complete them all.
In this guide we’re revealing how many Shrines there are in Zelda: TOTK, along with where you can find each and every one. It’s going to be a long list, so strap in and cross-reference our complete Shrine maps with your own in-game map to find the Shrines you’re missing. Shrines listed should be out in the open unless otherwise specified – and therefore likely inside a cave.

How many Shrines are in Tears of the Kingdom – Zelda TOTK
TOTK has a grand total of 152 Shrines – 32 more than in Breath of the Wild. There are still 120 Shrines to be found on the ground – the same as the original game – but that additional 32 can all be found in the sky. There are zero Shrines in the Depths, but you can find 120 Lightroots down there.

Once you have finally completed all 152 Shrines you can return to the Temple of Time on Great Sky Island, and there you will find a chest with an exclusive armor set that has you resembling an ancient Zonai hero, called the Ancient Hero’s Aspect.
This can be upgraded at a Great Fairy. This will mark the end of The Shrine Explorer quest.
