Upcoming RPG Arknights: Endfield will be released for PS5 in addition to PC, iOS, and Android, as has been revealed at The Game Awards 2023. Players can now sign up for a technical test of the game.

Developed by Chinese studio Hypergryph and published by its brand-new global publishing arm Gryphline, Endfield is a spin-off of Arknights, the successful free-to-play tactical RPG from 2019. It’s one of the few gacha titles still standing up against the market power of HoYoverse’s unholy trinity of Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Honkai Impact 3rd on the Chinese market. The game got an anime adaptation in 2022 with a second season premiering in 2023.

Endfield is described as a “real-time 3D RPG with strategic elements.” It was officially revealed in March 2022. Players will take over the role as the Endministrator, an enigmatic and powerful figure standing above the various factions on the planet Talos-II. Revealed characters include a fox-eared girl called Perlica, who is a supervisor at Endfield Industries, the former Landbreaker member and mercenary Wulfgard, and the mysterious nun Xaihi.

A wandering knight called Ember, the armed commerce chamber messenger and bunny girl Avywenna, gravity-manipulating fox girl Angelina, Perlica’s bodyguard Chen Qianyu, and the legendary warrior turned doctor Fjall complete the known roster of Operators.

Just like the world of Arknights, Endfield’s setting is very futuristic and sci-fi inspired – and it includes the existence of originium, which enables certain characters to use arts akin to magic by infecting them with a progressive disease.

Arknights: Endfield is among the first games to be published by Gryphline alongside Ex Astris and POPUCOM. Currently, there is no clear release date for the upcoming title.
