Paradox Interactive, the publisher and developer mostly known for grand strategy series such as the popular Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis, and Hearts of Iron, has announced a show held on March 6, 2023, where it will reveal three new games as well as four expansions for its existing titles.

Featuring projects from Colossal Order, Harebrained Schemes, Paradox Tectonic, Paradox Arc, and Paradox Development Studios, the Paradox Announcement Show 2023 promises to have a lot in store for fans of the publisher’s games.

The Swedish company has also revealed that Xbox is presenting the event, possibly showing a deeper cooperation between Paradox and Microsoft going forward – having Paradox games including their expansions on Xbox Game Pass would for sure be a cool thing that could save people interested in the genre a bunch of money.

Here’s what we know about the studios appearing at the show:

  • Colossal Order (Cities: Skylines): new game announcement.
  • Harebrained Schemes (Battletech): new game announcement.
  • Paradox Tectonic (no previous games): new game announcement.
  • Paradox Arc and Paradox Development Studios: reveals for Crusader Kings 3 and Europa Universalis 4 confirmed, which leaves two more expansions open.
  • Iceflake Studios (Surviving the Aftermath): no official information, but featured in trailer.
  • Triumph Studios (Age of Wonders): working on Age of Wonders 4 at the moment, so likely in relation to that.

Colossal Order and Harebrained Schemes have already established a reputation and a fanbase for themselves with their previous games, but Paradox Tectonic – the publisher’s newest studio – will announce its debut project during the show. Tectonic is led by Rod Humble, who was the leading developer on The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 at EA and also the CEO of Linden Lab, the company behind life-sim Second Life.

The Paradox Announcement Show 2023 will be live on March 6, 2023, at 9am PT / 11am ET / 5pm GMT / 6pm CET.
