Wiese leads No. 11 Oregon State past USC 76-66

LOS ANGELES (AP) Sydney Wiese scored 19 points, 13 in the first half, to lead No. 11 Oregon State in a 76-66 win over USC in a Pac-12 match-up Monday night.

Wiese got the Beavers out of the gate, scoring a layup 14 seconds into the game and following it with a 3-pointer, all in the first minute of play. She knocked down three 3s as Oregon State took a 38-33 lead. The Beavers (12-1, 2-0 Pac-12) outscored USC 38-33 again in the second half

Ruth Hamblin had 16 points and Jamie Weisner 15 as the Beavers shot 49.2 percent from the field (29 of 59).

Alexyz Vaioletama finished with 24 points to lead USC (9-5, 1-2).

The Beaver completed a sweep of Southern California after Saturday's 65-47 win over UCLA.

Oregon State returns to Corvallis for its first home game since December 6, when the Beavers take on rival Oregon Friday.
