HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (AP) Kelsey Mitchell had 29 points and No. 3 seed Ohio State held off sixth-seeded Minnesota 83-71 in the Big Ten quarterfinals on Friday night.

Amanda Zahui B. had 25 points, 11 rebounds and a Big Ten-tournament record 11 blocks for the Gophers (23-9). Her triple-double was the first in the conference tournament since Minnesota's Janel McCarville against OSU in 2004.

Mitchell eclipsed the 20-point mark for the 22nd time this season. Shayla Cooper had 17 points and 11 boards, and Alexa Hart added 17 and 10. Ohio State (22-9) will face No. 2 seed and 14th-ranked Iowa on Saturday.

The Buckeyes took the lead for good with a 10-0 run in the middle of the first half and led 40-28 at the break. The lead stayed in double digits until the Gophers closed within eight in the final minute.

Shae Kelley scored 23 and Carlie Wagner 18 for Minnesota.
