No. 13 Texas A&M women roll past Texas State 87-50

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) Khaalia Hillsman scored 17 points and Courtney Walker added 16 to lead No. 13 Texas A&M to an 87-50 win over Texas State in a season opener Friday night.

Danni Williams added 14 points, the most by an Aggie freshman in her debut since 2004.

Hillsman and Walker combined to go 12 of 17 from the field and 9 of 9 from the foul line. Williams was 5 of 8 from the field but the rest of the Aggies went 18 of 48.

Texas A&M had a 48-38 rebound advantage with Jasmine Lumpkin grabbing eight. That led to 50 points in the paint, 30 more than Bobcats. The Aggies forced 24 turnovers, which they turned into 25 points.

Hillsman and Walker combined score the first 10 points of the game.

Williams scored five points to spark a 15-0 run that put A&M ahead 38-13 4:14 before the half, which ended at 47-19.
