Tennessee falls out of AP top 25 poll for first time in 31 years

Tennessee is out of the AP top 25 women’s basketball poll for the first time in 31 years.

The Lady Vols' streak of 565 consecutive weeks in the AP top 25 poll ended on Monday after their 57–56 loss to LSU on Sunday. During Tennessee’s 31-year run, the team had been ranked No. 1 on 103 occasions.

Top-ranked UConn now has the longest active streak in the poll at 428 consecutive weeks.

Tennessee is 16–11 this season and is ranked ninth in the SEC conference standings.

The Lady Vols play Alabama on Thursday night.
