WWE Superstars are Concerned About WrestleMania During Coronavirus Pandemic

The coronavirus has lead to the biggest sports leagues either postponing the remainder of their seasons or complete cancellations altogether. One organization that has yet to react to Covid-19 is World Wrestling Entertainment. WWE's biggest pay per view of the year, WrestleMania is still set to take place in Tampa, Florida on April 5th in front of a crowd of 70,000 fans. The WWE released this statement in regards to concerns surrounding the coronavirus, “While we remain committed to hosting WrestleMania at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday, April 5, we are putting contingency plans in place in the event that it is canceled by government officials, civil authorities and/or local venues. SI pro wrestling writer Justin Barrasso reports that there are current WWE Superstars who are concerned that the company plans to move forward with the event despite the potential consequences.
