The season rolls on for Mississippi State baseball (20-15, 3-10) on Saturday afternoon in Starkville, Mississippi as the Bulldogs prepare to face the Ole Miss Rebels (20-14, 3-10) for the second contest of the series during Super Bulldog Weekend.

The Bulldogs dropped the first matchup in a close, low-scoring affair that ended in a 3-2 victory for the Rebels. Just ahead of this, MSU got its first conference series win of the season as it won two of the three meetings with the Alabama Crimson Tide, ending mid-week action on a high note with a 7-3 road win over the UAB Blazers.

The Rebels also came into this one with a little bit of positive momentum, winning 13-4 over Alcorn State as they bounced back from a two-game losing streak against Memphis and Arkansas.
