UCLA Basketball: Dejected Lazar Stefanovic Doesn't Mince Words After Miserable Arizona Blowout

Things are looking very bad for the UCLA Bruins right now. They've lost five straight games, and are coming off a terrible blowout loss to the Arizona Wildcats last night.

It was a terrible performance from this young team and one that they would love to quickly forget. They entered the game with the slimmest of hopes to sneak into the NCAA Tournament and left feeling even worse

Now, unless they surprise everyone and win the Pac-12 Tournament, UCLA will miss the tournament this season. This "rebuilding" year has been one of the more troubling in recent times, and guard Lazar Stefanovic didn't hold back after the loss.

“We didn’t play well,” Bruins guard Lazar Stefanovic, who scored all 20 of his points in the second half, said in something of an understatement. “Didn’t communicate, didn’t execute the stuff that we said we would in the locker room, stuff we talked about. Their team is going to take advantage of that, and you can’t allow mistakes like that against them. We didn’t play good enough, and that’s the bottom line.”

The Bruins were blown out from the jump, and couldn't ever recover. The final score doesn't show just how lopsided this game was, while Arizona took advantage of all the Bruins' mistakes.

This game was another reminder of just how far UCLA is to contending and will surely mean that a roster overhaul is coming. But this has been the story of the Bruins season, and it seems to be pretty much all over now.
