Denver Nuggets Star Has Shocking ESPN Ranking

Jamal Murray had a huge jump in the rankings.

If there's one player who deserved a massive jump in player rankings after last year's playoffs, it's Jamal Murray. Fortunately for fans, it looks like Murray is actually receiving that recognition from major outlets.

Last season, Jamal Murray was ranked 50th by ESPN rankings. It seemed very low for a player who just showed how good he was in the 2020 NBA Playoffs, but he was coming off of an ACL tear. If Murray had to prove himself to NBA analysts, so be it - that's exactly what he did.

After a championship playoff run, Jamal Murray was ranked 33 spots higher by ESPN, moving all the way to the 17th spot for this year's player rankings. It's great to see Murray get recognized as a top 20 player in the NBA, especially after coming back from injury. Some of the players listed higher than Murray are: Bam Adebayo, Donovan Mitchell, Damian Lillard, Anthony Edwards, Jimmy Butler, and Devin Booker. While it's debatable if some of these players are better than Murray, it's amazing to hear him in the same conversation as them.

What's even more amazing about Jamal Murray's comeback story is that he's still never made the All-Star team despite being a top 20 player in the NBA. Every single player listed above him has been an NBA All-Star, and if this list proves anything, it's that Jamal's turn is this year.
