Joel Embiid's Injury Status for Nuggets vs 76ers Revealed

Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid have only faced off 8 times.

Whenever the Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers face-off, there's an extra level of excitement in the air as fans anticipate Nikola Jokic going against Joel Embiid. Unfortunately, despite both players having at least eight-season careers, they've only faced off eight times.

Despite that, it looks like fans might be in a treat for this newest game. The Philadelphia 76ers have officially listed Joel Embiid as available for the massive battle between the Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers tomorrow night. Jokic received an eye injury against the Knicks on Thursday night and is currently listed as probable, but that could change as we get closer to the game.

In eight seasons, Joel Embiid has a winning record of 6-2 against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. This season, Embiid defeated Jokic on January 16, and he defeated Jokic last season as well on January 28, 2023. The last time Nikola Jokic beat Joel Embiid was on March 14, 2022. While all of this is technically meaningless in the grand scheme of things because the Nuggets are the ones who are currently the NBA Champions, one would hope Jokic could even the odds to make the score closer.

The Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers face off on January 27, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. EST. If both Jokic and Embiid are available, it should be an incredibly fun game.
