UPDATE: Jayson Tatum's Injury Status For Pistons-Celtics Game

Jayson Tatum is on the injury report for Monday's game.

UPDATE: Jayson Tatum has been ruled out. 

On Monday evening, the Boston Celtics will host the Detroit Pistons in Massachusetts. 

For the game, the Celtics could be without their best player, as All-Star forward Jayson Tatum is on the injury report.

Tatum is in the middle of another remarkable season with averages of 27.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 47.4% from the field and 37.9% from the three-point range in 64 games. 

The Celtics enter the evening as the first seed in the Eastern Conference (and the best team in the NBA) with a 53-14 record in 67 games.

They have gone 8-2 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a five-game winning streak. 

Most recently, the Celtics beat the Washington Wizards by a score of 130-104.

Tatum had 30 points, six rebounds, six assists, three steals and one block while shooting 8/17 from the field and 6/12 from the three-point range in only 27 minutes of playing time.

Following the Pistons, the Celtics will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they host Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks in Boston.

As for the Pistons, they are the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 12-55 record in 67 games.

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and have gone 4-6 over their last ten games.

Following Boston, the Pistons will play their next game Wednesday evening when they host the Indiana Pacers.
