Kristaps Porzingis' Injury Status For Celtics-Wizards Game

Kristaps Porzingis has been ruled out for Sunday's game.

On Sunday evening, the Boston Celtics will play the Washington Wizards in Washington, D.C.  

For the game, the Celtics will be without one of their best players, as 2018 NBA All-Star Kristaps Porzingis has been ruled out.  

Porzingis has missed each of the previous four games, so this will be his fifth straight out of the lineup.

Porzingis is in his first season with the Celtics and has been an excellent fit on the roster. 

He is averaging 20.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.8 blocks per contest while shooting 52.0% from the field and 37.5% from the three-point range in 46 games.

The Celtics are also the best team in the NBA, with a 52-14 record in 66 games. 

They have gone 8-2 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a four-game winning streak. 

Most recently, the Celtics beat Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns by a score of 127-112.

Following the Wizards, they will play their next game on Monday evening when they host Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons in Boston. 

As for the Wizards, they are the 15th seed in the Eastern Conference with an 11-56 record in 67 games. 

They have gone 2-8 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a three-game losing streak. 

Following the Celtics, the Wizards will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they host Jalen Green and the Houston Rockets in Washington, D.C.
