The Toronto Raptors will be keeping DJ Carton.

The 23-year-old has signed a two-way contract to remain with the organization following the expiration of his 10-day contract Friday night, the organization announced Saturday. Toronto had an extra two-way spot available following the decision to sign Javon Freeman-Liberty to a standard contract.

Carton made his NBA debut for the Raptors, playing in 11 minutes across two games during his recent stint with the organization. He nailed a three-pointer on Friday night against the Golden State Warriors and hooked up with Gradey Dick for an impressive transition alley-oop that he recorded an assist on.

The signing fills Toronto's final two-way spot as Carton will join Jontay Porter and Markquis Nowell on two-way deals. Carton will likely return to the G League where he's played in 29 games this season for the Iowa Wolves, Minnesota's G League affiliate.

Carton had averaged 18.6 points and 5.7 assists per game while shooting 52.7% from the floor and 39.5% from three-point range in the G League this season.

Toronto now has one open standard roster spot it can use to find another player for a 10-day contract. The Raptors had previously signed Justise Winslow and Mouhamadou Gueye off the Raptors 905, but both have since returned to the G League.

Ethan Thompson, a 24-year-old 6-foot-5 guard from the Capitanes de Ciudad de México could make some sense for the Raptors. He's been among the G League's best prospects this year, averaging 22.7 points, 4.1 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game.

Brandon Goodwin would give Toronto a little more guard depth as a 28-year-old 6-foot point guard averaging 21.4 points and 8.5 assists per game this year.
