Trevor Lawrence Leaves Jaguars' Loss to Buccaneers With Shoulder Injury

The Jaguars' franchise quarterback is dealing with his fourth different injury this season.

The hits keep on coming for Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Lawrence has dealt with a knee injury, an ankle injury and the concussion protocol this season. Now, you can add a shoulder injury after Lawrence left Sunday's 30-12 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a right shoulder injury.

Lawrence was replaced by C.J. Beathard in the final quarter, though Lawrence finished the drive he was injured on with a touchdown pass to wide receiver Calvin Ridley.

"It's his right shoulder. I don't have any further details until he gets evaluated, either tonight or back in Jacksonville," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said on Sunday.

Lawrence was pulled from the game with one quarter left in a 30-6 bout, but Pederson said that the injury was to the point that he simply couldn't play.

"At the time it was severe enough that he couldn't continue. That's all I know," Pederson said.

Lawrence finished the game 17-of-29 for 211 yards and a touchdown, also throwing two interceptions and losing one fumble. To this point in his career, Lawrence has never missed a start, becoming one of just three quarterbacks this week to start every single game since Week 1 of the 2021 season.

But for the fourth time this season, that streak will now be thrown into question as the Jaguars advance to a must-win Week 17 game vs. the Carolina Panthers.

"It's bothering me. We are going to check it out tomorrow, I am sure. We'll have more later on in the week, so hopefully nothing major. But yeah, it's bugging me right now," Lawrence said.
