Steelers Re-Sign Special Teams Captain

The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing back their special teams ace.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers continue their moves this free agency, this time bringing back one of their own, re-signing defensive back and special teams ace Miles Killebrew, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Killebrew, 30, was named to his first Pro Bowl appearance in 2023 while also being named an All-Pro for the first time. He now returns to Pittsburgh on a two-year deal worth $6.5 million.

Last season, Killebrew finished with 26 tackles, the most since he joined the Steelers in 2021. He's blocked three punts in that time, tied for the most by any team - not just player - in that same span.

Killebrew will return and likely be named captain once again in Pittsburgh. So far, they've added a new punter but re-signed their long snapper and special teams captain. They'll try to keep as much of the unit in tact as they move forward, gearing up for another successful year under coordinator Danny Smith.
