Coach Hugh Freeze discussed the struggles of facing a Bobby Petrino offense
Auburn is set to face a tough test as the Tigers will hit the road to College Station, Texas, to face the Texas A&M Aggies in Kyle Field.
Texas A&M, talent-wise, has one of the best rosters in college football, which will makes leaving this game with a win difficult.
At his Monday press conference, Auburn Head Coach Hugh Freeze was asked about the challenges that come with stopping a Bobby Petrino offense.
Freeze responded," He's (Petrino) very good, very good schematically, very good at scheming. He checks a lot of his runs based on the looks that you have, that makes it difficult. He's usually right. We have to do a great job of disguising things. You know he's going to make you stop 12 personnel, and spread sets everything that makes it challenging. Then you combine the talent level he's coaching with his balance on offense of play action, passes, runs, and a quarterback that can extend it with his legs when he needs to. It's a very, very difficult task."
The Tiger's defense needs to stop Texas A&M's dynamic offense if they want to win this football game.
Auburn will be able to score against the Aggies; it's going to come down to whether or not the Tigers can get stops on the road.
This is setting up to be a really fun football game that could shake up the SEC West.
