Baylor Women’s Basketball Ranked No. 18 in Preseason AP Top 25 Poll

Baylor Bears aim to return to NCAA Tourney following Elite Eight exit last season

The Baylor Women’s Basketball program enters the year ranked No. 18 in the preseason Associated Press top 25 women's college basketball poll, as head coach Nicki Collen and the Bears aim to improve on last season’s 27-6 record.

Collen and the Bears were narrowly defeated by Connecticut in last year’s Elite Eight, as Baylor dropped a 69-67 heartbreaker in the NCAA Tournament.

This is Collen's second season at the helm of the Baylor women's basketball team after coaching for three years in the WNBA with the Atlanta Dream.

She was named WNBA Coach of the Year in 2018 after guiding the Dream to a franchise-best 23-11 record.

Baylor begins its 2022-23 campaign on Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. Central Time against Lamar at the Ferrell Center.
