Baylor's Adam Flagler Withdrawing from NBA Draft, Will Return for Senior Year

The Baylor Bears are set to have an impressive set of talented players hear their names get called at the 2022 NBA Draft on Thursday, June 23,

It has now become official that guard Adam Flagler will not be one of them. He told CBS Sports Wednesday that he is withdrawing his name from the draft pool and will return to Waco for his senior season.

Flagler penned a social media message to Baylor fans after declaring for the draft in April:

To my coaches, teammates and the Baylor community thank you for your unwavering support and welcoming me to this amazing family. This season was far from what we had expected but I am extremely grateful. I’d like to thank my family for being there every step of the way. After much prayer and consideration, I have decided to declare for the 2022 NBA Draft.

The 6-3, 180-pound, Duluth, Georgia native was Baylor's leading scorer this past season with 13.8 points while adding 2.2 rebounds and three assists per game. He started all 31 games he appeared in.

One of the best 3-point shooters in the Big 12, Flagler was fourth in the conference in made 3-point field goals (70) on an impressive 40 percent from that range.

His best game of the season came in a 66-64 overtime win against Oklahoma State on Feb. 21. Flagler was scorching from deep, as he bludgeoned the Cowboy defense with 29 points on 11-20 shooting and 7-13 from 3-point range. He also added four rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

Baylor coach Scott Drew now has his premier scorer for another season as the Bears look to contend as one of the best teams in the country once again.
