The 6-8, 190-pound forward would be the first commitment in the class of 2024 for Scott Drew and the Bears, though he’s likely to take a significant amount of time with visits around the county before deciding so soon. He's still in the process of wrapping up his sophomore year.

Asemota has received offers from a list of elite programs like Auburn, Kansas, Illinois, Texas Tech, Ohio State, TCU, and others.

Baylor will welcome a slew of talented new 2022 commits this season, as Keyonte George, Joshua Ojinawuna, and Dantwan Grimes are all set to join the roster. Grimes is the only to not have yet signed his letter of intent.

It was also announced Wednesday that Baylor will be playing at Marquette as part of the 2022 Big East-Big 12 Battle. The official time and date of the game will be announced at a later date.

Adding of player of Asemorta's length and skill would help the Bears stay atop the country's list of best programs for the foreseeable future. Baylor is aiming for its third-straight No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament next March and a second national title in three seasons.
