Live In-Game Updates: No. 11 Baylor Bears Take on Washington State Cougars

Bears return to the court for the first time in two weeks for the Pac-12 Coast-to-Coast Challenge.

After 11 days off, No. 11 Baylor (7-2) is set to play Washington State (4-5) in the Pac-12 Coast-to-Coast Challenge in Dallas.

These teams have faced each other just four times, first in 1972 and most recently in 2010. The Cougars lead the all-time series, 3-1.

Washington State will be hard-pressed to slow down Baylor's backcourt trio. LJ Cryer, Adam Flagler and Keyonte George are all scoring over 15 points per game, and each ranks among the Big 12's top seven scorers.

But the Cougars have a high-scoring guard of their own: TJ Bamba, a 6-foot-5 junior dropping 17.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. He's shooting 51.2 percent from the field and 50 percent from three.

UNDER-16: Washington State 6, Baylor 3. Both teams have shot – and missed – a lot of threes. The Bears and Cougars have combined to shoot 1/8 from behind the arc and 3/11 from the field.

UNDER-12: Baylor 15, Washington State 14. The offense has really picked up in this one, as shots that were previously hitting back iron have started falling. And it's not just coming from a few stars, as five Bears have scored since the last TV timeout. Washington State forward DJ Rodman leads all scorers with six points.

UNDER-8: Washington State 17, Baylor 15. Baylor nearly tied the game up on a layup late in the shot clock, but officials determined that it was a little too late.

UNDER-4: Baylor 27, Washington State 22. Keyonte George finally made a tough shot, pulling up over a screen and converting a four-point play. LJ Cryer followed that up with back-to-back threes, and just like that, the Bears are rolling.

HALFTIME: Baylor 31, Washington State 25. Baylor is simply out-shooting the Cougars from the field, 45.5 percent to 33.3 percent. Historically, this is a great spot for the Bears – in the past six seasons, they're 102-9 when leading at halftime, and 7-1 when doing so this season.

UNDER-16: Baylor 35, Washington State 35. Washington State comes out of the gates blazing hot, hitting two three pointers in the first 90 seconds of the half. Forward Mouhamed Gueye was a major part of the Cougars' run, putting up four points, two rebounds and an assist in just over four minutes.

UNDER-12: Baylor 41, Washington State 41. Baylor's defense locked in following the last TV timeout, forcing three turnovers in four minutes. The Cougars also missed three free throws and a dunk.

UNDER-8: Baylor 49, Washington State 46. The Bears seemed to be pulling away at halftime, but Washington State has refused to let up. Three Cougars (Justin Powell, Jabe Mullins and TJ Bamba) have scored double-digit points. Keyonte George leads all scorers with 16 points.

UNDER-4: Baylor 61, Washington State 55. It's crunch time, and Washington State's shots just aren't falling. the Bears have made three of five shots in the past three minutes, while the Cougars are one for six.

FINAL SCORE: Baylor 65, Washington State 59. The Cougars intentionally fouled Jalen Bridges with 9.1 seconds remaining, but he hit both free throws and they never got a clean shot off. Keyonte George led all scorers with 19 points as the Bears improved to 8-2 on the season.
