Before the Baylor Bears hit the road for Las Vegas and potentially two ranked opponents next weekend, they close the three-game homestand by welcoming the Northern Colorado Bears into the Ferrell Center.

The night could prove to be a landmark one for coach Scott Drew. Not only does Drew's nephew, Caleb Shaw, play for UNC, but the coach is also going for his 400th Baylor win.

Freshman Keyonte George comes into Monday's game on a tear for Baylor, leading all scorers with 23 points in Friday's win over Norfolk State. George's performance is the most by a Baylor freshman since Jared Butler scored 31 against the Kansas Jayhawks in 2019.

Baylor is 2-0 and have won those games by an average of 40.5 points. West Virginia transfer Jalen Bridges also impressed Friday, pouring in 20 points and adding 5 rebounds, but it was guard Adam Flagler who was named Big 12 Player of the Week, recording 39 points in the first two games and leading the conference in shooting percentage at .650.

Oddly, this is not the first meeting between these two Bears on the hardwood, but it is the first matchup since three weeks after Pearl Harbor, with Baylor winning the day after Christmas in 1941.

UNDER-16: No. 5 Baylor leads Northern Colorado 8-5 at the first media timeout. Adam Flagler and LJ Cryer are both 1-1 behind the arc for three points apiece. Northern Colorado has four early turnovers.

UNDER-12: Baylor leads 15-7 thanks to a 13-0 run, highlighted by 8 points from Big 12 Player of the Week Adam Flagler.

UNDER-8:  Baylor leads 25-10. Dale Bonner rattles off back to back transition baskets of steals before George finds Langston Love for the transition layup to push the lead to 15.

UNDER-4: Baylor leads 37-20. Bonner gets his fourth steal of the first half and converts it to a Jalen Bridges three-pointer. It was UNC's fourth turnover in a five minute span. UNC goes on a 10-2 run to cut the lead to 10 before Adam Flagler buries his third three-pointer of the half.

Baylor hits 4 of 6 field goals, including a George step-back three-pointer to push the lead to 20, the biggest margin of the night.

HALFTIME: Baylor 44, Northern Colorado 26

SECOND HALF

UNDER-16: Baylor leads 55-38. Adam Flagler adds a couple more assists (5 total) on transition buckets to push the lead to 48-31. UNC, however, outscores Baylor 12-11 in the first five minutes of the half.

UNDER-12: Baylor leads 62-38. Bridges gets Baylor started out of the timeout with a steal and a breakaway dunk and Cryer hits his second three of the game on the next possession. Bonner with another steal and layup just before the break.

UNDER-8: Baylor leads 76-44. Bonner feeds Caleb Lohner on a baseline cut for the dunk. Next possession, Flagler lobs an alley oop from beyond the arc to Josh Oijunwuna for the slam and Langston Love's three-pointer on the next possession caps a 16-1 run. Run ends at 21-1.

UNDER-4: Baylor leads 89-53. Baylor makes five straight field goals, highlighted by a slick bounce pass feed from George to a cutting Bridges for a layup. Cryer hits his third straight three-point attempt after starting 1-3.

FINAL SCORE: Baylor 95, Northern Colorado 62.
