Austin Novosad is Baylor football's quarterback commit for the class of 2023. Austin Novosad has also now picked up an offer from Ohio State, and the boys in Columbus are recruiting the Dripping Springs native to join the Buckeyes after his senior year.

In this fierce battle over the young quarterback, Baylor has to find a leg up on a program that boasts national titles and playoff appearances. This is no easy task. To retain Novosad's commitment, Baylor needs to harp on Shawn Bell's job security, detail plans to start Novosad early on in his career due to the already small quarterback room and tout Novosad's ability to be drafted highly from Baylor.

Staying in football, Drake hits the topic of 247 Sports' preseason bowl predictions, an article that includes Baylor in the Texas Bowl. Furthermore, he puts that in juxtaposition with Baylor's No. 12 preseason ranking. Would the No. 12 team in the country only be worth the Texas Bowl at the end of the year? Drake does not think so, and he points to Auburn being the projected opponent to show that this list has many a hole.

Lastly, Drake gives his own thoughts on baseball hiring Mitch Thompson to lead the program. It is going to be a beautiful marriage between the two parties when Thompson is able to display his skills with the transfer portal and win right away in Waco. Moreover, the hire shows just how much Mack Rhoades loves Thompson. To have hired a guy that was a part of 'old Baylor,' this move is huge. Thompson is certainly going to win in the Green and Gold.
