FORT WORTH, TexasBaylor football trails Air Force at the half 9-7 after a dominating 28 minutes of football from the Falcons on both sides of the ball. That two minutes of leeway was Dave Aranda's saving grace.

Well, this was not exactly how the Bears drew it up. In a game that is -6°F with the wind chill, it is no surprise that the team from the mountains of Colorado is dominating most facets. With six seconds remaining in the first half, though, the Bears found the board.

Blake Shapen and the Baylor offense struggled mightly in the cold, recording just three first downs in the first four possessions of the game. The Bears' final possession, in a fun turn of events, went 47 yards on six plays in the two-minute drill to score.

Shapen finished the half with 83 yards and a touchdown pass on 7-12 through the air. As for the ground game, it was almost nonexistent for the Bears. The Green and Gold boasted just 29 rushing yards on 12 carries. The Air Force defense was airtight.

Turning to the Falcons, it was quite the opposite. Quarterback Haaziq Daniels completed two passes for 20 yards. But Air Force ran for 117 yards on 30 carries, averaging 3.9 yards per touch.

The crown jewel of the half for Daniels and company was an 8:44 scoring drive of 15 plays and 55 yards that resulted in a touchdown on the team's first drive of the game. That opened the scoring and helped Air Fore to its 9-7 halftime lead.
