Six Mountain West teams inside top 65 of KenPom rankings

Despite suffering a 17-point road loss to Grand Canyon on Friday, the Boise State men’s basketball team remains inside the top 60 in the KenPom rankings.

The Broncos (13-9, 5-6) are No. 59 in KenPom entering Tuesday’s home matchup with KenPom No. 56 Nevada (16-6, 8-3). Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Mountain time at ExtraMile Arena. 

Boise State has the No. 77 KenPom offense and No. 54 defense. The Broncos’ No. 38 strength of schedule leads the MWC. 

Utah State (18-3, 9-2) is the highest-ranked MWC team in KenPom at No. 31, followed No. 43 San Diego State (15-6, 9-2), No. 44 New Mexico (18-4, 9-2), No. 56 Nevada, No. 59 Boise State, No. 65 Grand Canyon (14-7, 7-3) and No. 98 Colorado State (12-10, 3-8). 

New Mexico hosts Utah State on Wednesday in a critical MWC matchup.
