The sixth-ranked Colorado Buffaloes survived a scare on the road, hanging on to beat Washington State 63-57

Frida Formann led all scorers with 27 points, including 6-for-9 shooting from beyond the arc. She was joined by Aaronette Vonleh, who finished with 20 points as the only other Buffs player in double figures. Quay Miller hauled in a game-high 14 rebounds on the night. 

Colorado (18-3) was down 28-25 at halftime and pulled ahead with the help of three straight 3-pointer by Formann to end the third quarter. Both teams went back and forth trading baskets in the final minutes. The Buffs only trailed a total of 13 seconds in fourth and clamped down when it mattered, holding the Cougars bench scoreless in the game. 

Jaylyn Sherrod scored five points and was held under double figures for a second consecutive game and the fourth time this season. The Buffs guard came into the game averaging 13.9 points per game. 

Colorado shot 22-for-62 (35.5%) from the field and won the battle for second chance opportunity. 

Washington State (15-7) played well enough to win but couldn't find a way to stop CU's scoring barrage. The Cougars had three player in double figures with Tara Wallack leading the way by scoring 19 points. Eleonora Villa and Astera Tuhina each added 15.
