Eleonora Villa scored a game-high 20 points as Washington State spoiled Senior Day for 13th-ranked Colorado with a 72-63 win on Saturday. Astera Tuhina added 14 points for the Cougars (18-13, 7-11 Pac-12), who ended the game on a 14-0 run for the upset.

Jaylyn Sherrod scored 18 points to lead the Buffs. She was one of four CU players in double-figures, along with 15 points from Aaronette Vonleh and Frida Formann added 10. It was a bad night shooting for the Buffs, who went 21-for-58 (36.2%) from the field.

Colorado (21-8, 11-7 Pac-12) took a five-point lead off Vonleh’s layup with 2:56 remaining. But two straight 3-pointers by WSU gave them the lead 41 seconds later and was the start of a final statement by the Cougars. Villa scored six of WSU's final 14 points.

The worst loss for Colorado this year came in a finale at home. One of the biggest senior days for the Buffs in recent memory with six players being honored, including Sherrod, who got emotional in what will likely be her final collegiate game at CU Events Center.

Colorado lost five of the last six to close out the regular season. It's also the only defeat against an unranked team. A long way from where the Buffs started the season by knocking off top ranked LSU in Las Vegas. JR Payne's team hopes there will still be luck in Sin City as they face Oregon in the opening round of the Pac-12 Tournament on Wednesday (3 p.m. ET/TV: PAC12N).
