Colorado Buffaloes listed as long shot to capture 2025 National Championship
The College Football Playoff Semifinals haven’t even kicked off yet and oddsmakers are already looking ahead to next season. Earlier this week, FanDuel Sportsbook released the odds to win the 2025 College Football Playoff & National Championship.
Despite failing to reach this year’s semifinals, FanDuel has Georgia (+480) as the favorites to claim next season’s crown. The Bulldogs are followed Alabama (+550), Ohio State (+600), Texas (+850) and Michigan (+1000) to round out the top five.
Next season, the College Football Playoff will expand from four to 12 teams, making long shots a more interesting option for bettors. One of those is Colorado, who is listed at +27000 to capture their first title since 1990. Meaning bettors could turn $10 into $2700 should the Buffaloes win next season’s National Championship.
Colorado has the seventh-best odds to win the title among the sixteen Big 12 conference teams. Utah (+10000) and Arizona (+12000), who are joining the Buffaloes in the Big 12 next season, have the best odds. Below is a list of all Big 12 programs and their odds to win the National Championship.

The Buffaloes, who finished 4-8 in Deion Sanders’ first year at the helm, should be much improved next season. They have a pair of Heisman Trophy candidates returning in quarterback Shedeur Sanders and the versatile Travis Hunter. Plus, the Buffs have rebuilt their offensive and defensive lines via an incoming class of six recruits and 18 transfers. Coach Prime and his staff are not done adding to their class, which is ranked 21st overall by 247Sports.com. If you’re keen on wagering, might just want to snag the Buffaloes while you can.
